Mike Austin
President
Mike Austin, with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering metals and plastics, has owned Ultra Manufacturing, Inc. since 2015. He began his career at Manchester Tank, then worked at Atwood Mobile Products, eventually becoming Director of Operations. After serving as Director of Operations at Shield Restraint Systems, he formed Austin & Austin, Inc. In 2015, the company acquired Ultra Manufacturing, Inc. Mike excels in collaborating with customers to enhance production through process improvements, material enhancements, and design changes.
Tammy Austin
Vice President and Treasurer
Tammy, part of the Ultra team since 2016, plays a crucial role in developing and executing business strategy, overseeing administration, accounting, and human resources. With nearly three decades of business experience, she holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loras College. Previously, Tammy served as Division Controller at KIK Customer Products, overseeing financial operations for nine manufacturing facilities. Before that, she spent 11 years as Director of Finance at Shield Restraint Systems, ensuring financial integrity and overseeing HR and IT across global locations. Tammy started her career at Atwood Mobile Products, rising to the position of Controller before joining AmSafe in 2004.
Adam Gilpin
Plant Manager
Adam, an essential part of Ultra for twelve years, contributes significantly to day-to-day operations. Starting his career with TK & Associates, where he did his apprenticeship, Adam joined Ultra in 2006 and worked his way up to become Plant Manager. Proficient in programming and operating various machines from manufacturers like HAAS, MAZAK, TSUGAMI, and HARDINGE, Adam is a key player in the quality system. He ensures thorough first piece inspections, inline part inspections, and final inspections before shipping.
